My oldest daughter turns 13 this month - THIRTEEN!! I wanted to do something different and special to celebrate this milestone, but quickly realized that this age is not as easy to plan a party for (compared to when she was younger). Searching for something unique - I found it! Candytopia is back in Houston! AND - CertifiKID has a great deal on tickets!! I had her invite 5 of her best friends (all my mini van could fit) and off we went to CITY CENTRE (322 Town & Country Bld, Unit 102, Houston)!
Candytopia is an interactive experience and a candy lovers dream! I mean - who would not want to swim through a pool of marshmallows??? This experience truly is for all ages, but the perfect activity for tweens/teens that love to pose for pictures as the entire venue is set up for unique photos opps. When you first arrive you can sign up to receive a QR code that you can then scan throughout the event at designated photo stops - so everyone can get it in the photo. Your photos are then emailed to you for free!! Of course you can also take your own photos as well! Our crew did a little of both!
The entire Candytopia experience takes about an hour to go through, but you can go at your own pace (except for the marshmallow room... they time that, as I am sure no one would want to get out). Each room has it's own theme - complete with statues and images made completely out of thousands of pieces of candy. There are also treasure chests throughout that are full of candy for you to grab (after all that sugar - I suggest having a few bottles of water in the car for the ride home - my crew was thirsty!).
Candytopia will be in Houston through April 30th. You must reserve tickets prior to going and select a time slot (I love that they do this because it makes the experience enjoyable and not over crowded... no need to worry that someone else is going to jump in your fun pictures!).
