Our family has a love for baseball - both of our sons play and we spend many of our weekends at the ballfield. Our kids not only love to play baseball but love to watch professional baseball - so when we were asked to come experience a game at Constellation Field in Sugar Land to watch the Sugar Land Space Cowboys we jumped at it! The Sugar Land Space Cowboys are the AAA affiliate team for the Houston Astros - our favorite Major League Team (obviously!).
My family and I received complimentary tickets to a Sugar Land Space Cowboys home game to facilitate this review.
From the moment we arrived at Constellation Field - we were super impressed. Parking was a breeze (there is a minimal fee) - with a quick and safe walk to the front gate. We got to our seats behind Home Plate (which were amazing), but quickly realized that there was really not a bad seat in the entire complex! Every seat is comfortable and with a great view of the field. In fact - even in the Grasslands area in the outfield you are able to bring a blanket or lawn chairs to sit on!
It is very clear that Constellation Field was made with families in mind. We all know that a child's interest in live baseball games can vary - so there are plenty of other activities to do at Constellation Field. Including:
1. Kiddie Corral Playground - features a new and improved play space with western and space themes

2. Have your kids bring their swimsuits and towels because there is a SPLASH PAD (free for all) and even a POOL (that can be rented) in the outfield! The great part is - even if a parent takes their child to any of these areas to play - you can still see the game from the railing!
3. Orion - the mascot for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys is super interactive and the staff plays tons of games in between innings.
4. Themed Days! We attended on a Friday - so we got to enjoy a fantastic fireworks show after the game. Fireworks are after every Friday home game. Check the Sugar Land Space Cowboys site for other specials like Dollar Hotdogs, $5 Frozen Drinks, jersey and ring replica giveaways and more!
5. Moonshot Alley - a free baseball hitting simulator that allows fans to feel like they are playing in the big leagues!
We were lucky enough to have the Sugar Land Space Cowboys WIN the game that we attended and my kids are already asking to go back to see a game! It was great to see these players up close - we even took the opportunity to show our kids the techniques they were using so they could implement them when they play in their own games. We will be back!
