I love Texas - but one thing I miss from growing up in the Northeast is the change in seasons - I particularly miss Fall. Fresh crisp air, time to break out the sweaters, pumpkins and corn mazes - these are a few of my favorite things! Now while we can't really break out the sweaters just yet - I do look for some good old fashioned Family Fall Fun!
Our family loves Dewberry Farm in Brookshire! We visited last weekend and it only took us a little over an hour to get there from League City! With 48+ attractions - there is so much to do - you can definitely spend the whole day! Admission is $31.82 for both adults and children. Each member of your family will get a wristband and they can choose the activities they would like to do. Adult wristbands include admission to the farm, all main attractions, a ride on the Dewberry Express, entrance into Pumpkin Hollar, and 4 activity stars for the extra activities. Child wristbands include
admission to the farm, all main attractions, all day admission to the jumping pillows and slide mountain, entrance into Pumpkin Hollar, and 4 activity stars for the extra activities. Children 2 and under are free.
We started our day with a ride out to the pumpkin patch and got to pass by all of the Christmas trees almost ready to be cut down in a month or so! Side note - you are going to want to visit Dewberry Farm around Christmas as well!
From the pumpkin patch it was just a few steps over to the 8 acre corn maze where our kids loved taking turns "being the leader" and trying to find our way out!
After that the kids had a great time on the jumping pillows and Ft DewHicky (which is a huge ropes style playground). We rode the Dewville Express - and my train loving 3 year old highly approved! After all of that we were quite hungry and pretty thirsty - so we first stopped at the Lemonade Station for some fresh-squeezed lemonade and then headed to Mattie's for some BBQ and hot dogs. There are tons of food options at Dewberry Farm, but you are also allowed to bring your own food in.
Before heading home we took a stroll through Pumpkin Hollar (this is a barn that has tons and tons of pumpkins carved - truly a must see - if only to get some ideas on how you will carve your own pumpkin!). Last - we headed out into the field to check out the Candy Cannon (check out my Facebook Live HERE... although I mistakenly call it the Candy shooter.... I was just so excited!).
