Macaroni Kid League City/Clear Lake Fall Festival Guide Part 1

Our 2016 Fall Festival Guide is ready! We can’t wait for the fall festivities to begin. Look ahead and start planning now. As more organizations release details about their events, we will add them to the guide. If you are part of an upcoming event that you would like to add, submit the details here.

 

Blessington Farms 

September 24 – October 30, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays only

Come on out for some old-fashioned farm fun. There will be a pumpkin patch and lots of fall festivities. Activities include hay rides, giant slides, barrel train rides, pedal cars and animal encounters with camels, Baby Doll sheep, goats and much more. New activities debuting this year include a Rope Maze, Fossil Dig and a walk-through aviary where you can feed Quaker parrots!

 

Froberg’s Farm 4th Annual Corn Maze & Fall Festival (Alvin)

September 24 – November 6, open daily, extra attractions only on weekends

Saturdays and Sundays, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., corn maze plus all attractions below

Extra attractions include plastic duck races, bean bag toss, planting booth, face painting, glitter tattoos, basketball hoops, football toss, bushel basket toss, pony hops and of course the pumpkin patch with lots of photo ops and pumpkins to purchase! Be sure to stop and pick some flowers and take some photos along the way to the corn maze. Don’t forget to try out the Tunnel of Fun!

Monday ­– Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. corn maze only

Friday ­– Saturday evenings in October, 6 – 10 p.m., night time corn maze only

Bring your flashlights for the first ever family night time corn maze, last tickets sold at 8:30 p.m.

 

Dewberry Farm – A Texas Family Tradition 

September 24 – November 13, Weekends only

There is something for everyone from age 2 to 92 at Dewberry Farm! Over 8-acres of corn maze to explore and 8-acres of pumpkins to pick from. Be sure to check out the lighted pumpkins in Punkin Hollar, which features over 500 carved pumpkins! Yummy food and lots of attractions for all ages! Texas Gathering & 22nd Annual Oak Tree Festival (League City)

Butler Longhorn Museum

Friday, September 30, 7:30 p.m. – 9: 30 p.m. Watch 1982 “E.T.” in the Outdoor Rose Garden. Entry is FREE! Beverages, popcorn, BBQ by Ring of Fire Cookers, plus more snacks available for purchase. Don’t forget your blankets and lawn chairs.

Saturday, October 1, 10 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Enjoy a day filled with art, live music, and food! Special events including a Civil War reenactment, gun show, cowboy shootout, kids’ zone, vendors, a silent auction, and more.

Sunday, October 2, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. 2nd Annual Car & Bike Show, vendors, art exhibits & sales, live music, kids’ zone, and food by Ring of Fire Cookers.

 

Clear Lake United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch

October 3 – 31, 9:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Pumpkin patch open daily on the church lawn. Plenty of pumpkins and photo ops. Call the church office for more information, 281-488-5110.

                                                                   

BOO on the Boardwalk (Kemah)

October 7 – 31

Don’t miss special events planned throughout the month of October: Freaky Friday Movie Nights, Spooky Saturdays & Scary Sundays. Some of the activities include pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treating, zombie parties, costume contests, and more. Face your fears at the terrifying Dungeon of Doom Haunted House or let the kids enjoy the Little Boo Haunted Fun House. Click the link above to see the special event dates.

 

Clear Lake United Methodist Church presents “Family Movie Night in the Patch”

October 7, Movie begins at 7 p.m. (sunset)

The wonderful family friendly tradition of movie night in the pumpkin patch returns with “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.” Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. There will be popcorn, lemonade, and glow sticks for the kids. Call the church office for more information, 281-488-5110.

 

Bay Harbour United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch (League City)

October 8 – 30, open daily 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., October 31, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Macaroni Kid League City/Clear Lake Fall Bash

October 8, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Join us for our annual Halloween Bash – dress in costume for trick-or-treating with our vendors. We will have live entertainment, jump houses, food, plenty of photo ops and more! The first 200 families will receive a swag bag filled with samples and coupons from local vendors and businesses! Did I forget to mention…It’s FREE!

 

McWhirter Elementary Fall Festival (Webster)

October 8, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Open to the public and includes bounce houses, raffle baskets, silent auction, food and more!

 

Halloween Monster Mayhem at the Children’s Museum of Houston

October 11 – 31, Open Tuesday – Sunday

Visit the Children’s Museum of Houston to see how monsters have rummaged, scoured, combed and turned the museum upside down to make room for their monster lairs. It’s sure to be a hair-raising experience for all! Go on trick or treat monster hunts 4 - 6 p.m. on weekdays, 4 - 8 p.m. Thursdays, and all day weekends through Halloween Night! Special monster activities planned the week of October 27 – 31!

 

Gloria Dei Lutheran Church 25th Annual Artisan Craft (Nassau Bay)

Friday, October 14, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. & Saturday, October 15, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Shop handcrafted items from over 50 vendors, enjoy homemade pastries and breakfast items, and enter the drawing for a handmade quilt. Parking and admission are FREE!
