This summer my daughter was given the opportunity to attend one of the two day camps at Bay Area Equestrian Center. I have to say, I was amazed at how far she came for a 6 year old in just two days! Madison was given the opportunity to learn how to take care of a horse, learned some of the basics of grooming and tacking a horse, and even was able to trot during the showoff during the second day of camp! She loved her experience (we loved watching her) and we will definitely be back so she can see "her" horse "Josie".

Bay Area Equestrian Center continuously is enrolling students in riding lessons. They start everyone in their Foundation lessons. Foundation is a 30 minute one-on-one lesson with an instructor, where students will learn the safety on and off the horse, and the fundamentals of horsemanship from the ground up. Young riders will learn how to properly groom and tack their horse, as well as horsemanship (riding). Each Foundation rider will learn how to walk and control the horse and eventually learn how to trot. Foundation lessons are $45 each. Once students have mastered the basics they can move to regular classes (group scenario) a 75 minute class. The cost of their regular class is $189.00 a month (four per month) or $55 each.
